Frequently Asked Questions
Is this coin flip fair?
Yes. Our coin flip uses the Web Crypto API (crypto.getRandomValues) for cryptographically secure randomness. Each flip has an exact 50/50 chance of heads or tails — fairer than most physical coins which can have slight manufacturing biases.
Can I flip multiple coins at once?
Currently the tool flips one coin at a time with a satisfying animation. You can rapidly flip multiple times by clicking the button repeatedly or pressing the spacebar. All results are tracked in the history.
What are common uses for coin flipping?
Coin flips are used for: making binary decisions, settling disputes fairly, game mechanics (who goes first), probability experiments in math class, and as a simple randomization tool when you need a yes/no answer.
Does it track statistics?
Yes! The tool tracks your total flips, heads count, tails count, heads/tails percentages, and your current and longest streaks. Statistics persist in your browser via local storage.
